This is the first pup we bought. All mine have been rescues, so I am very green about ALL of this AKC, Limited, and loop holes with AKC. I have no idea who was being truthful and who wasn't. Just know that I finally did get my AKC papers today in the mail and that it shows daddy as being registered and shows his litter as registered. I have limited on my girl. Black box is checked off on mine with number. Although, we did not know that this would be the case at the time we bought her, I'm alright with it since we have no intentions on breeding her anyway. And, actually I'm happy the breeder is selling the pups on limited. Hopefully, prevents the pups from ending up in bad places
