I wouldn't get the dog unless your DH is in full agreement. This is something that both of you have to agree on or it will never work. Maybe in time he'll come around but in the meanwhile I'd hold off. I know that isn't what you want to hear, but things change over time and, hopefully, you will have your Yorkie some day.
