My little guy goes through spurts of not eating the bowl stays full for a day and I would worry but I guess when he is hungry he eats at his own pace. I would say no to the cheese and just leave his food (kibbles) out so he can eat when he is ready. jersey would eat any type of people food food if we let him. We have learned he has a weak stomach so we pretty much stick to dog food. As a cheese substitute we have the doggie cheese in the can and that we give him as a special treat.
