I got my new Puppy Lucy from a wonderful breeder and she almost wouldn't let me take her at 12 weeks. I had to beg her
It is so often about the money, which is sad sad sad. |
It is really common for people to let them go at 6 weeks around here. This is not the first I have seen. I bought one of my girls at 6 weeks and I pleaded with the lady to let me leave her unitl she was older and refused..told me I didn't take her that day she would be forced to let someone else buy her. I went ahead and took her because I was afraid she would sell her to somone that didn't know anything about yorkies. She even told me that her vet said it was better to break the bond with mom and her family early.

Luckily she did great and I had no health problems but I do have social problems with other dogs with her. I think it was from not learning how to interact with playmates.
I got a few call lately where my vet recommds me to people and when I tell them my pups won't be ready until they are 10-12 weeks they say. Oh..thats so old..
