Adele "Belli" passed away peacefully yesterday, Thursday December 10, 2009 after losing a short battle with lung disease. She is survived by her puppy parents Alan and Carrie, and Yorkie brother Chuck. Born January 18, 2001 in Billerica, MA she and her brother were adopted in March of the same year and brought home to Holden. Weighing in at just under 2 ½ pounds, she easily fit into Alan’s shirt pocket, but Adele didn’t let her small stature deter her.
She quickly became the dominant pup in the family, often stealing all the toys, putting them into a pile, and sitting on top of them, letting Chuck have none. She earned her nickname Belli because of her cute chubby tummy.
She was very much aware of her insane cuteness and often used it to manipulate people into endless petting and tummy rubs. She had a fondness for being carried in sweatshirts, sneaking out the door, licking flowers, peeing on carpets, climbing the back of couches and chairs, and tequila. She will be lovingly remembered for "Run-Belli-Run," the wildly popular game of hide-‘n-seek she entertained with during family gatherings, sitting in the sun in her custom "Belli-Bed," the dig dance, and puking during car rides.
Her sweetness, cuteness, and friendship will be greatly missed. Forever she will be our sunshine pup.
