Hi everyone, first I wanna say I am so happy to be here at YT!
This site is so informative and I am so addicted since the day I signed in.
After reading and going thru' the thread, I decided to formulate a To-do list for Poppy's arrival!
Though she won't be here till end Dec, it's always good to start planning early right? So please feel free to comment and I will be more than happy to modify the plans for the best interest for my baby!
This is the simplified version (mine is super long list which lots of explanation and do not want to bore you all with that!)
Orientation day: (sounds so school...)
When home,
1) Show her potty area (see pic no.1&2) - The door is to the yard not the main door and we seldom open that door. Now its snowing and we will start with indoor potty training first.
2) Food and water area (see pic no.3)
I wanted her to eat in kitchen but will it be confusing? Having so many places to familiarise? Or should I put the food and water + Potty area in the kitchen? I dun know abt you guys but my kitchen is the first area pple see when they come in-weird orientation and thus very funny greeted by her poops. LOL
3) Crate her for a while
4) Explore the house
5) Feed her
6) Shower (okie, here comes dilemma!)
Question: My friend told me best to shower her once she's home cos worried of bugs etc. It sounds logical cos after shower, I think I will feel safer too. But will it overwhelm her the first day? tsk tsk... Please advice!
7) Play
8) Sleep (see pic no.4) -->
Okie, should have taken the crate pic anyways, should I bring her (in crate) to my bedroom? (the area with her bed) Do you think it's too confusing for her? Like if she is not in play den, she will have to eat in Kitchen, potty at the door near to the yard, Sleep in my room.
I am more worried abt she being alone outside and the door. Wind can still come in and it's so cold....
She is scheduled 2hrly potty time.
Routine:
8am - Rise and shine ; breakfast
9am - Play time
11am - Attached to me (was planning to get a leash)
12pm - Lunch
1pm - Crate
2pm - Nap
4pm - Training (time for treats and lunch to dinner 6 hrs diff, scared she hungry so add in treats time. Of cos she need to earn that!)
6pm - Dinner
7pm - Play time
8pm - Attached to me
11pm - Sleep
I am a full time housewife so will spend most of the time with her.

Thanks!!!!
Happy Holidays
