Also per the American Cancer Society, soak all fruits and veggies in 1 tsp of bleach to a sink full of water for 10 min. Then rinse well and soak 2 to 3 more times in clear water and air dry. This will deactivate any pesticides and all other toxins. Also if you are not comfortable with the bleach you can use white vinegar.
