Worms freak me out! The thing is, if puppies are started on a regular worming schedule early you should not be seeing any worms in their stool. (The actual worm is the adult stage of the lifecycle) and 8 weeks is still a pretty little baby so to see them in the stool means the worm has gone from an egg to an adult. This would lead me to think that this was your puppy's first deworming. In any case, I am very glad you are taking your baby to the vet. When I actually see worms in the any stool, it leads me to believe they have quite an infestation and your vet will get you going in the right direction for the best treatment to rid them completely. Did they recommend you bring a stool sample with you??
