No irritation -- good! I know many people express the glands themselves, but I would be very nervous about causing more harm. Also, I would agree with Wylie's Mom and look to making diet changes or additions to take care of the glands naturally.

I believe my little one's gland problem was the result of the vet retrieving a stool sample manually. Once I started feeding green peas, the problem went away. Max hasn't had a problem for 7 months.
