I called them just now and confirmed it once again just to be sure and they said it is fine for me to breed her as long as I have a smaller male to breed her to. She said that they have patients that breed 3 pound females with smaller males and they do fine. I don't do 3 pound females, but they do. It isn't anymore dangerous to breed a 4 pounder than an 7 pounder as long as the male is smaller. I understand that you and the other breeders here don't do that and I wouldn't either if my vet didn't say that it was fine. I would say they know what they are talking about. Not that you don't, but doesn't our own vets know what they are talking about? They go to school and are educated on this stuff. If you want to call dr. Ogle just give me a quick email at toxentine@gmail.com and I can give you her phone number.

Yes, I am glad you consult your vet. Many that just breed to be doing it don't even consult their vet. I too would say you and your vet. know your dogs the best.
