My Zada was/is a honker and in Oct. she had a really bad spell, after a long walk, that sounded like an asthma attack. She then wheezed all night. We slept with her because we were so worried. (We still do). I took her to the Vet. and she x-rayed her lungs first and found little white streaks and put her on clavimox for a couple weeks. Then we went back for a throat x-ray and is when they saw it was her trachea. Now before we take her anywhere, we give her a few drops of Rescue Remedy to help keep her calm, otherwise she is constantly "honking". She can't wear any harness or clothes that even remotely touch her throat or it triggers her coughing.
