Hi Linda.
The organic extra virgin coconut oil will solidy if room temp is below like 74 or 75 degrees. If it is stored in a warm place, it will stay liquid.
I give my furbabes a 1/4 to 1/2 tsp a day with their food, coats are better, my older girl (maltese) used to lick her paws a lot and itch. She doesn't any more. I've also mixed it with their shampoo and shampood with it. Never used it as conditioner though.
