Theres a lady here in Arkansas in my town who is just as determined as you are to find her Maltese. Posters are EVERYwhere, she even posted it on the New Moon poster at the movies knowing people would be going to look =P
Everytime I see her little poster about Mickey I think of Cookie. She thinks Mickey was stolen from her as well, its just so awful that people can have such cruel hearts.
This new little girl is so beautiful by the way! |
Awww I know how she feels trust me. Its the worst feeling Ive ever had to experience. It's a terrible, terrible feeling. I'm waiting for this miracle. I know when the time is right and God's plan is finished. I will know and accept the outcome. Cookie is in my mind all day every few minutes.
Now that I finally decided to bake Cookies for my daughters. It's a constant reminder because I hear " mom did you make more cookies today? or What kind of Cookie is this? So the name is repeated all day and on TV as well.
The Police got back to me and the same officer called me. I didnt know it was the actual police I was talking to! Anyway he told me that he had a animal control female officer scan the remains several times and there just wasnt a chip or it was destroyed. He said he was really sorry that they could not get a chip reading at least I would know for sure. But he said they are the ones who get calls for found dogs, stray animals and he will remember my Yorkie and he said he would contact me if they get any calls for a Yorkie.
I told him thank you for doing this and I really understand because I went in person and saw the remains and you could barely tell what animal it was.
So everyday that passes I have several more people letting me know they are looking or keeping an eye out for him. I ran into a couple at PetCo
who saw me with Monica (the little girl yorkie) and the wife was giving Monica compliments and she mentioned about the story she just read in the newspaper. I told her that I wrote that story about Cookie. She just said that she read it and it broke her heart and kept saying how sorry she was that this happened. I told her I am "ok" I just want him back of course but ultimately I just need to know. Her maltese died 3 months ago and she still cries for her. They gave her a yorkie to help her. She said the yorkie seems more likea Silky Terrier because he is really big and his nose is so long. I told her that Yorkies come in so many different sizes that he probably is purebred as his papers show. She said either way they love him so much.
