I've used my pin brush on Missy since she was a puppy, and now I use it on Dora my new puppy as well. I find with my silky haired girls that they don't get knots as pup's anyways. It's mostly for the training, and I'd rather get them accustomed to what I am going to be using on them long term. I'm curious as to why a pin brush shouldn't be used on a puppy? It's working great for us, actually much better than the 4 brushes (one being an Isnis) I had tried before learning about the CC pin brushes. I really dislike slicker brushes, and so did Missy...I find them to be much too hard on the hair and uncomfortable for the puppy.
