You can cook brown rice, lentils ( an excellent source of protein)and split peas together till crisp tender. Steam a small head of broccoli then put in a blender or food processer till fine & add to mixture with finely chopped chicken.
You can also switch around some. Cook up the Harvest grain, Trader Joe's Pantry: Harvest Grains Blend | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn add some steamed and finely diced green beans or carrots & chicken.
I even make polenta and stir in shredded cheddar cheese, (you could add the broccoli or peas, and the chicken if you want). put in a mixing bowl for a few minutes then unmold into a plate. Put in ref. covered. When cold you can slice it and serve. I eat this too. It's so good.
So many ways to feed these little ones. You can make up a large batch and freeze too.
