I went to the vet for the "first" time last week (never had a dog before). I was surprised when he put his nose right up against Ruger's nose and was talking softly and bonding with him before he even did anything. Of course he may have been doing something else, but it looked good to me.
I've taken my girlfriend's dog to the vet numerous times, and we've always been in the room when they do anything. I'm surprised they didn't invite you. I would assume the dog is always more comfortable and easier to work with when the owner is present. |
