Wow! That seems so long to leave them alone in such a confined space
...I wouldn't recommend that. I just don't think forcing a dog to hold his urine, let alone, not having any "real" space to stretch his legs for so long is good. I usually recommend babygating in a kitchen or room with a few toys, chew bone and pads and water.
