Default Fatty tumor? Something more serious?

I was petting Meg before bed last night and noticed that she has a huge lump on the side of her neck. It is really freaking me out, and the vet can't get her in until Monday. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?

Dome-shaped
No hair loss
Not as big as a golf ball, but BIG
Soft/squishy feeling, maybe with something harder inside?
No pus or discharge
No skin discoloration
Grew VERY fast... only noticed it last night; has not changed size since then

It does not seem to bother her at all and she is eating/playing/breathing normally. A friend had this happen to her schnauzer 10 yrs ago and it was cancer. I'm freaking out. Anyone have any advice? Is this common in Yorkies? I am going to ask the vet to do a biopsy.

Edit: She's 14 months old, 4.5 lbs, happy & healthy
