All of my dogs are microchipped and I am living proof that it may be the only way you have to get your dogs back should they be lost or stolen. None of mine have had any reaction to the chip and it gives me peace of mind that they will be returned to me if they go missing. We travel quite a bit and I feel a little more secure taking them along knowing my babies are chipped.
One piece of information though...if you get your puppy chipped...SEND IN THE REGISTRATION WITH YOUR CHECK. You wouldn't believe how many people think just because their dog is chipped they are done...you're not...you or your vet has to fill out the information flyer and send it in to the company with your information and check so the chip is registered to you. If you don't do this our dog will be chipped but there is no way to tell who it belongs to. |
