I wish someone would have told me to do that...I've heard the best time to get them microchipped is when you get them spayed/neutered (if you plan to do that) since they are put out for that anyway. i wish someone would have told me to do that at the time I got mine spayed & neutered (I have a boy & a girl) but I didn't, so now i don't know if I will since I don't know what I think about them getting it done when they're awake. I haven't heard of anyone regretting getting their babies microchipped, and I do worry about what would happen if their tags ever fell off & they got loose. I would say do it but you can wait a little while. Congrats on the new addition to your family!
