It is the most rewarding and heartbreaking thing that you can do. You know what you are doing is a great service, yet you can't help but fall in love. You hurt for them and love them just like your own. BUT, then the day comes and they get a forever home. You are so glad, yet heartbroken to have to let go. I have been unable to do any fostering the last year or so. Hurts and you do need time to rebound.

Thank you for sharing that with me. My dogs make such a difference in my life and I just want to return the favor even if it's just for one dog!
