Unfortunately, I learned about B12 deficiencies in yorkies the hard way!!! Sissy was diagnosed with early stage PLE last fall. A B12 deficiency is just one piece of that. She was only weekly B12 injections for four months and now gets just one a month. Thankfully, we caught it very early and some dietary changes and supplement additions have been very helpful.

Also, multi-vitamins and vitamins in general are not created alike. In order to get a benefit of any kind, you need to have absorption and the vast majority of vitamins are poorly manufactured and you only absorb about 5% of what the label says. Look for quality, fermented, whole food products. These are your best bang for the buck - even if you take less than what is recommended.
