When my girls were puppies, we kept an ex pen around the tree
They just wouldn't leave it alone!
Definitely NO TINSEL! If they eat it, it can wrap around their tiny little intestines and kill them
Even if you block off the tree like we did, that stuff goes EVERYWHERE, so they can still get some.
Not to mention all the extra goodies in the house during the holidays
We all need to be super vigilant that they can't get to the foods, and that guests understand that they are not to feed the dogs anything. If we have lots of people over, we let the girls say hello to everyone, then they are shut into our bedroom with treats, toys, food, and water. We bring them out every now and then (holding them) so that they don't feel too left out.
