Did you know that Yorkie puppies should stay with their mother until they are 12 weeks old? The risk of hypoglycemia is high in toy breed puppies in the first three months. They also miss very important lessons in socialization if they are taken from their mom and littermates too soon including bite inhibition.
Can you ask the breeder to keep him until after Christmas? Christmas is such a busy time and so many decorations are toxic. It would be so much better for him if you could bring him home after you get back from your trip.
