He hardly every barks, and does his stuff only on pads or outside. So peeing inside would never be a problem.
I am just wondering how much of an issue would it be with Motel owners.

We sneak Layla into tons of hotels. You have it easier because Layla doesn't go on pee pads- we have to sneak her out to pee!
I would make sure before you go to your hotel- find somewhere for him to play or take him on a long walk so he is happy to just go to bed when he gets in the room. Make sure you bring toys that dont' squeak and I tend to keep the tv on slightly louder than normal to mask any noise she might make. Layla behaves better than most kids at hotels
