This sounds like my house. I have big cushions on the floor in front of the couch and love seat. Jada has doggie steps at the end of the loveseat and she uses them always. The cushions are there in case she gets a wild notion to jump off the couch. I took my dining room table and chairs out of the dining room and that is where Jada and Bogie stay during the day when I am at work. They have beds in the dining room and the living room and they sleep with us every night.
