I just found Pet Plan Insurance that is the ONLY plan that covers things that are genetic to specific breeds or congenital (like luxating patella in yorkies). Their rates are very good too. The only thing is (and this is what rules me out on it) is that they cannot be pre exisiting conditions. So since my Wookie
has already been diagnosed with LP, I can't get it to cover any future surgeries he may need if it gets worse. Dang it! Wish I had known about this plan a long time ago. I think I am going to go ahead and sign up though. Because a year ago I had thought about it, decided not to, then within a week Wookie had to have emergency exploratory surgery. About $3000 in vet bills later, I think that was the wrong decision!! lol They also cover things like advertising if your dog runs away or is stolen, kenneling your dog if you become sick or hospitallized...things like that that really impressed me. Google them and check them out...
