It is to much on a female to be breed every 6 months. Molly my oldest female has been pregnant every 6 months for 2 years not meaning to be and It takes a toll on the female. It is very hard to keep a male and female apart that live together under the same roof. The last heat I made sure it was not going to happen. She was getting thin hair coat and not eating correctly. So It was time to put an end to their breeding. She will not have anymore for 2 years. Time for a rest.!!!!!! She deserves it. She worked hard to be a good mom, now time to recuperate. I say once a year, No female human would like to have babys every 6 months we all know what toll it took on us. (LOL)
