True. I trust my vet, and he said she'd be ok to go ahead and get it, and he was right. The only reason we got it was because we live in a rural area and even if I was simply walking Sophie outside in our yard, we could potentially be attacked my another dog or even wild animal, so it was safety for me.

And I agree that the lawmakers need to use common sense. But until they make a law saying all dogs in ALL areas must be licensed or have shots, we'll probably still see this happening. The area I live in most people don't even get the shots for their dogs and they let them run wild, which makes it unsafe for me to have Sophie in some places.
