My two cents.... I am not a regular of this site, but I picked this topic off of a websearch and started reading the discussion.
I have a dog that was purchased at Pauley's, and have never had one minutes problem with her, and I would purchase again if they had what I was looking for.
I think the sinks, aprons, sanitizer is a perfect idea, and is safer for the puppies. How are they supposed to know where you have been or what type of germs you may be bringing in. Give me a break, I always wash my hands or use sanitizer even at home when I handle anything that belongs to the dogs, if you don't, then I really am glad I am not coming to your house for dinner.
I didn't really prefer the way the puppies were caged, but walking on the wire is better than them standing in urine and feces. The puppies didn't seem to mind, they seemed happy and playful. I'm sure you have to understand, when you have that many puppies around, they can't be just turned loose in a room together....what a mess!!!
Obviously some of the fault also needs to fall on the breeder and puppy mills, Pauley's is only selling them not breeding them. Inherited traits fall back on the breeder of the puppies, and if you think about it, Pauley's may be a far site better than where some of these puppies came from, you just don't happen to see that part of the picture.
I'm sure some improvements could be made, and you are given a guarantee
at the time of purchase, all you have to do is take the dog to the vet and have it checked out. They also give you back the purchase price plus $60 if the vet says it's unhealthy.
Like I said, I'm not a regular here, and I am not affiliated with Pauley's in any way. I just thought I would put in my opinion since I have purchased dogs from Pauley's and I know others who have also and none of us have had a problem.
Thanks. |
