That is so sickening. I've read of this sort of thing happening before. That was always my own worst nightmare, too. We never wanted to leave Muffin at home by herself unless we absolutely had to do so. I wish I could remember the details of what I'd read that made me so paranoid about it. All I can remember now is that it was a small doggie. I think it was a chihuahua, but now I'm not sure. That is sad beyond words and I feel so sorry for that man having to find his little guy like that. What is even worse is the other little doggie will probably never get over that. It said he goes to the spot and whimpers and he still shakes in fear. Probably the only thing that saved the younger doggie is the fact that it was hiding behind the bookcase.
