Did you sign any papers? If you didn't you can go in a demand the dog but you will have to pay the bill. Something similar happend to me. My dog had his back broke..told he would never walk or anything again.. I said put him down. I thought they where going to be the head person came in and said we do have a surgery we can try on him but no gurartee he will make a recovery..I said no. Then they convienced me in front of my kids not to put him down and try the surgery and they would keep him. Well my kids were scream not to kill their dog..at the time I thought I had no choice. My huband came home from hunting found out what went on and went down to the clinic and demanded the dog back. They printed a bill he paid and we brought him home. I worked with him for over a year until I decided it was cruel and had him put down. The vet I went to said the surgery should have never taken place and he was used to practice on.
Just saying if you can come up with the money I think they would give the dog back.
