It doesn't matter what type of hair you baby has, or how old they are either, even if you use the right brush (I use a pin cusion brush) they will always get matts in their hair! If you use a spray conditioner in their hair, before you brush it out, so it won't be dry and brittle and even worse break-off from the brushing. I use a spray called mink oil. It keeps him cleaner, longer! And his hair is silky and smooth without looking greasy. You can't just do one without the other, especially if they have a full coat or you are trying to grow it out? I brush him at least twice a day, once in the morning with his full grooming routine of hair & tooth brushing, washing out his eyes or tear stains too! It's his daily routine that signify's that we are going out, and then in the evening while we are sitting around watching TV., he falls asleep.
