I was looking into this subject once, and tried it on people and it did seem to work, but I read that, for left-handed people, the direction is reversed. I'm left-handed and tested it on myself, and for me, it was true: the direction was reversed. This wasn't an empirical study, of course, but hand-dominance might be something to consider.

And I agree that Gen should be careful. Anyone who would steal someone's pet doesn't have a normal conscience, in my opinion, and who knows what else that type of person would do?
