we only use hypo allergenic shampoo on him, and i've watched him after eating, coming in from outside, etc, but i can't find the trigger. I've seen him come out of sleep and start this behavior, it doesn't last long, but at times it is intense and he makes a lot of noise when rubbing. Hi Bella!
I just contacted one of the breeders for you. I think she'll be able to shed some light on this. It's a wonderful thing you're doing with rescues. I applaud anyone who can do it. Hope we find out something for poor Max soon.
