Teeth Yorkie loves RAW Food! Was finiky 1st day but just stick it out!

Hello everyone,

I am brand new to this site. I love all the information exchanged between everyone. I think it is not only helpful but gives others the freedom and resources to get others opinions and hear their experiences.

We all know vets use technical terms or just tell us something here nor there about our little one.

I have done extensive research and well since my yorkie was diagnosed with a bladder stone, i have been very stressed on what to feed him.

Teddy had a few seziures a while back, none since but needs to gain weight and he was recommened the HILLS diet but no weight, looks like he lost weight and muscle mass. Is this food even any good??? NO i really in my heart do not beleive that. I do believe that it prevents stones although my baby does not look well more fragile.

So after extensive research, buying books, asking for advice, contacting my vet, who agreed to put teddy on BARF but cautioned about bacterias and infecting family members , i decided to put little Teddy on BARF or raw food yesterday.

Yesterday he was very picky , sniffed and walked away. Did not eat all day. But when i got out my own food he was jumping all over my legs. I didn't budge, and at second feeding i sprinkled romano cheese and he basicaly licked it off.

Then what happened? In the evening i gave him his 3rd feeding for the day and viola he ate it all and then sum. I give Teddy 3 small portions per day since i believe he is hypoglycemic and needs to gain weight.

Teddy loves raw food and this morning was asking for more. I didn't hesitate to give him another tiny portion since he has to gain weight.

Raw food not only sounds but looks nutritious.

I will keep everyone posted on how Teddy does. With his weight and after his stone is removed. But first we gotta get his weight up. That is our main goal.
