Could he stay with the breeder until you come back? He really should stay with his Mom and littermates until he's 12 weeks old. They learn a lot about socialization during those last 4 weeks.

Then there's his shots. At that age he should only have his 2nd set of shots and he needs 3 sets. Even then, we were told not to take our kids out for 10 days after they were given. They can catch diseases from other dogs and their feces just from taking a walk or going to the dog park.

I'd say it's really not a good idea to take him with you - for his well being. Sorry...
