There have been issues of puppies choking with them. Mom's getting the paw caught in them or another puppy getting their paw caught in there. Here's what I use......Liquid Paper....you know what you use for fixing typos. It comes in different colors. I usually put a dab under a leg, where mom can't see it but, you can. If you have a boob hog, don't put him on until the other 2 have a few minutes alone with her. Oh milk only lets down every 2 hours.
As long as your pups are gaining, you're fine....check for hydration by pulling the skin on their neck. If it bounces right back they are hydrated, if not, call your vet. He can Sub-Q them for you. 3 to 5 days tail docking and dew claw removal. Any changes in the sound of their breathing....could be a respiratory problem, call the vet.....he can administer clovomax....don't wait, it can turn into pneumonia. Most important, don't over handle, all they need is mom right now and quiet. Keep them warm and take care of her, she'll take care of them.
