Ch Mortimer the Knight of Blue Cross arrived in Boston from Budapest in wonderful condition after a very long journey on Lufthanza with a layover in Franfurt. Initially I was told by the exporter that I needed a customs agent in Boston, but I couldn't find one. I had read scary things on the internet about red tape and fees at customs, all turned out untrue. Hursula at Smartpuppiepets briefed me on her experience and that's what I went by. The only snag is a Boston problem---customs office is in a really inconvenient location. The exporter had emailed me copies of all my papers and customs went ahead and stamped those with no questions asked. Things got a little funny at the airport because there was a $35 fee there, I don't know what for, and I only had 2 twenties and they couldn't make change. Ho-hum, somebody at Lufthanza got to pocket $5 I guess.
