Copper is 9 months old. I have heard that it is better to introduce a new puppy before they get too old...They accept them better. We shall see. I am supposed to take Copper to the Breeder's house on Monday and introduce the puppy on neutral ground....I have also heard that it is not good to bring a new puppy into the house until they have met on neutral ground....may be hear say, but it makes sense to me. We are supposed to bring the puppy home on Friday the 18th. However, I had a call from my sister that my mother is doing poorly again. We have been on a roller coaster with her health since August. Hospice is really baffled that she keeps coming back. They will tell us, two weeks, one week etc. But now it seems her kidneys are failing and doesn't look good. So I may see if the breeder will keep her another week if something happens with my mom. This year has been absolutly horrible...Too many tradgedys, illnesses, death and divorce....My nerves are shot. Copper has been my little therapy dog. We got him about a month after my dad died in January. Now, it looks as if Leilani and Copper will take me through the grieving process with my mom. I am sorry to be so long winded. Hope this answers your questions. We will see how it goes. I know that there are a lot of people on here that can give us both some advice....Very nice and helpful forum friends!!!
