I spoke to my vet and found out that it was "predatory behaviour" and completely instinctual for the cat to act this way. She was NOT trying to play, she was hunting. The vet said not to leave Dora alone with the cat for even a second, because the cat would kill her. I decided to rehome the cat to my bestfriend whom lives up the street. I didn't want to risk her killing Dora. |
This is similar to what we have seen with my sister's cats. Maddie LOVES her 7-8 week old kitten and they play like crazy, she will kiss the kitty's face and sit with him ans the two are almost the same size. But I noticed when we took her out to go potty, the adult cats were stocking her and sneeking arround her, I am sure that they thought she would be a great little lunch
