AKC makes no rules on this..mother/son, full siblings..AKC is a recording agency, not in the business of telling breeders what to breed to what. I have seen numberous AKC pedigrees with these combos..not what I would do personally.
I have never heard that breeding grandsire to granddaughter weakens the bloodline. That makes no sense to me..if the bloodline is healthy, how could it make a diffrence?..but I am more then willing to be open to this..where can I find research?
Genetically what is the difference in breeding father/daughter or mother/son?
I do not see the need to inbreed any longer..excellent article in the YTM about inbreeding not being what it once was due to too many genetic problems in Yorkies now. Too risky. |
