Baltimore Homeowner Faces Animal Cruelty Charges

(WJZ) Baltimore, MD A Northeast Baltimore woman is facing charges of animal cruelty tonight.
Today a utility worker reported an unbearable smell on the porch of 3717 Fleetwood Avenue, with at least 15 cats clinging to the screens inside. There were also three malnourished dogs in the backyard, as well as the remains of another animal.
The worker told Eyewitness News' Richard Sher, "I cannot believe anyone would mistreat animals like this. I wouldn't want to see a squirrel in this condition."
The Bureau of Animal Control issued a citation after rescuing the dogs. The homeowner has 24 hours to contact the bureau, or they will return with a search and seizure warrant and take the cats.
