Hi YT friends,

What kinds of things should be included in a real estate agreement to make sure the property is small-dog-friendly? What would you put into your contract?

How about # of dogs, weight restrictions, breed restrictions (I know breed restrictions are controversial)? What else? What about a rule regarding picking up poop from yard? Length of time a dog may be left in the yard?

I am buying the 2nd floor of a house, and will be negotiating the legal document governing the property. I would like the place to be friendly for my current one yorkie, with the possibility of me getting a second yorkie later. At the same time, I don't want to allow another owner (1st floor) to leave a big dog outside in the yard all day.

A while back there may have been a post by a realtor on this topic. I searched and was not able to find it today.
