BTW I don't see how my mom was going to teach her puppies much since she had 9 in the litter, and there were other dogs in that house around as well and she was already playing with them as she is my own dog now... |
Congratulations and good luck. Buster was 10 months old when we brought Maggie home and she was about 9 weeks old. It has been a challenge! Maggie is the dominant one. From day one, she took all the toys. She will sit at the top or bottom of the stairs and not let him pass. She will sit in front of the dog door and not let him in/out. Even though I feed them at the same time, she wants his food as well as hers. They both get a lot of attention. She does not want to sit in my lap as much as he does and I feel bad about that, like it's my fault. They "fight", only problem is, I can't tell when it's play or a real fight. It is a lot of fun when they are getting along but that's not often. Having said this, I am not trying to be mean, I'm just telling you my experience. I think you can check and see some my posts about issues I have had with them. However, I love them and would not consider giving either of them up.
