Yes, you need Libby's pure canned pumpkin (not the pie filling as it contains sugar). The grocery store should be well stocked on it this time of year.
If you don't see an improvement by tomorrow, you need to take him to your vet. Toy breed dogs can dehydrate quickly from diarrhea. Dehydration causes dangerous electrolyte imbalances that can cause heart irregularities among other things. I would give him Pedialite (by syringe if necessary) today along with the pumpkin.
