| Mette, that's so neat to hear about the holidays in another culture. I never stop to think about the fact that so many people in so many different countries celebrate Christmas in different ways.
I'm sure everyone's local radio stations does something similar... Ours plays Martina McBride's version of I'll Be Home For Christmas, and troops from the area that are overseas say a little message to their families. I'm almost crying thinking about it. They also put the messages in "I Don't Care How You Get Here (Get Here If You Can)" [alright, so now I'm crying ] It's awful to not be with loved ones, but it's so much harder when it's the holidays. It's times like these that make me realize what a huge sacrafice all of our armed forces make. |
