Just wanted to say I agree with AngelC, the worst part for me was reading this woman used her child as a sheild against the little dog. This is a sure fire way of creating the same phobia in her child. I know bad experiences cause phobias but reacting in such an over the top way never helps, in another dog it could of actually prevoced an attack as they pick up on the fear.
I too had a similar experience many many years ago. I was walking my little-one Hope, we were just passing our local shop when I spotted this guy suddenly plaster himself against the wall and scrape along it to the shop door before dissappearing inside to safty. Hope was all of 3.5lb and only had 3 leggs. Now I know he didn't know this but really, the only part of him in danger would have been his toe if she wanted to attack which she wouldn't.
More recently I was out walking Alfie and Rosie in the morning when I passed a group of teenagers going to school when one announce loudly they had been chased by 5 of those dogs', cant immagine it was around here as I dont know anyone with that many yorkies, And I would know as everyone would be telling me all about them, I'm the woman with the Yorkies around here. Didn't seam to fazed by it all though. |
