i agree this was not very nice and i have seen karma happen many a time until it happens to your dog you never know what you will do as these are our children. We try to do the best for them and get them the best care. Most people will not spend 8k on there dog so you went above and beyond. I had a friend who spent almost 50k between her six dogs as her one had liver shunt and kidney disease, etc. Her friend thought she was crazy and was rude and nasty and then her dog got deathly ill and she called my friend crying and apologizing for being so rude and nasty as now she knows how she feels and she would do anything for her dog. I was on a group that was nasty to me and another lady for talking about our sick dogs while we were trying to help another dog eat that was starving and older and basically told the dog is going to die and shut up and i was furious as we were attacked by many members and left the group. That night the owner of the groups dog was attacked by her pack for no apparent reason. So i say be careful what you say and do or it could come back to haunt you.
My regret here is i did not meet you soon enough as I think i could have helped you earlier
as pancreatitis and ibd can be a nightmare to deal with but once you get them on track then they can do well as my boy has done now for 4 years but that first year and 10k was a nightmare so i have been in your shoes and i know that horrible sick feeling as the money is adding up. Luckily i could afford it at the time but had i not been able to I would have had to do the same thing.
