Tell him not to forget his seat belt. The little things are easy to forget when you're nervous and around here thats an automatic failure - I would know it almost cost me
I had the seat belts where the shoulder belts automatically came back on you when you started the car but you still had to buckle the lap belt. The instructor forgot his too though so he didn't fail me luckily!
